Appeals

Sometimes in the midst of a trial, attorneys can miss important issues. Other times, judges make legal errors that prejudice your defense. If you have already been convicted and you feel the proceedings against you were not fair or conducted properly, in Washington State you have the constitutional right to appeal and challenge the verdict.
Appeals are based solely on the records of the court file—there is no further investigation and no jury. Neil will examine the record of the first trial, look at the case with a fresh view, and attempt to present legal arguments on appeal that were not raised the first time to achieve the best result for you.
