Robbery. Neil represented a professional in her 60s charged with robbery after she allegedly shoplifted and struck a security guard with her car. The defendant had pled guilty to misdemeanors with another lawyer. Neil successfully argued to have the guilty pleas withdrawn and then provided sufficient evidence to show that the woman had not shoplifted and thus had not committed robbery. The case was dismissed.
